This new Windows 11 clipboard utility is genuinely great, but I think the name is holding it back

Edge Drop is a new clipboard manager utility designed for Windows 11 that reportedly offers several advantages over Microsoft’s built-in clipboard solution. Currently in early preview development, the application features a minimalist design that keeps itself out of the way by remaining tucked along the left side of the screen until the user needs it, activated via a mouse swipe or the Alt+C keyboard shortcut.

The utility supports multiple content types including text, images, and various file formats, making it a versatile tool for different workflow needs. By default, Edge Drop automatically captures and stores any items copied within Windows 11, though users can also manually drag and drop content into the manager for explicit organization. Beyond its core clipboard management function, Edge Drop includes light file management capabilities, positioning itself as more than just a simple copy-paste utility.

While the application shows genuine promise and capability in its current preview state, observers have noted concerns that its name may be hindering broader user recognition and adoption among Windows users actively seeking an improved clipboard solution.
