Is Halo: Campaign Evolved On Game Pass?
Halo: Campaign Evolved will launch on July 28, offering players a modernized experience of the classic 2001 game that defined the first-person shooter genre on consoles. The release comes 25 years after the original title and 15 years after the Anniversary Edition remaster.
The remaster includes updated visuals and gameplay for contemporary systems, alongside new content not found in the original, including new missions and additional Skulls—collectible secrets that add gameplay modifiers. This positions it as more than a simple graphical update, providing fresh experiences even for series veterans.
Game Pass availability is confirmed for day one release, marking another substantial addition to Microsoft’s subscription service library. However, availability is limited to specific Game Pass tiers. Players with Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscriptions will gain immediate access on launch day, while standard console Game Pass subscribers will not have access to the title through their current subscription tier.
The selective availability reflects Microsoft’s tiered subscription structure, where ultimate-tier subscribers receive the broadest access across platforms and content. This strategy continues Microsoft’s approach of using high-profile releases to incentivize upgrades to premium Game Pass tiers, even as major day-one releases remain a draw for the service overall.
