Guerilla bus stop ads are taking aim at Meta’s AI glasses, and the latest stunt involves a horrifying They Live-style transforming image of Kylie Jenner

Activist group Everyone Hates Elon (EHE) has launched a guerilla bus stop advertising campaign criticizing Meta’s AI-powered smart glasses, focusing on surveillance and privacy concerns. The first ad describes the glasses as “The biggest advance in pervert technology since the trenchcoat,” using dark humor to highlight the devices’ capacity for covert recording and monitoring.

A second, more elaborate ad employed lenticular printing technology to create a striking visual effect. Borrowing an image from Kylie Jenner’s recent collaboration with Meta AI, the design transforms the celebrity’s face when viewed from different angles—evoking the sci-fi horror film “They Live,” which explores themes of hidden manipulation and alternate realities. This eye-catching stunt amplifies the campaign’s message about concealed surveillance.

The campaign reflects growing public concerns about privacy implications of wearable AI technology. By conducting guerilla activism in public spaces with visual references and celebrity imagery, EHE aims to spark broader conversation about the potential misuse of AI glasses for non-consensual recording. The group’s willingness to target both Elon Musk and Meta demonstrates wider skepticism about surveillance capabilities embedded in major tech companies’ consumer products.
