Raids just landed in solo ‘simulated MMO’ Erenshor

Erenshor, a single-player MMO inspired by classic EverQuest-style games, has received its largest update since launch with the introduction of raid content. The game, developed by solo developer Brian of Burgee Media, features a unique concept where players experience an MMO-style world populated entirely by computer-controlled NPCs called “simplayers.” Rather than competing against real players, Erenshor allows players to party with and form guilds alongside these AI characters, creating a solo MMO experience without the social pressures of traditional multiplayer games.

The raid feature arrived last Monday through the Planar March patch, which developer Brian described as “the biggest day for Erenshor since its launch” in a Steam community post. The addition of raids represents a significant development challenge that the solo developer had been planning. The update expands endgame content for players seeking more ambitious challenges while maintaining the core appeal of playing entirely solo.

Available on Steam, Erenshor continues to deliver classic MMO gameplay divorced from competitive multiplayer dynamics. The raid update demonstrates the game’s ongoing development and commitment to expanding its feature set for players who prefer cooperative-style challenges against computer opponents.
