Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (18th July)
Nintendo Life’s weekly roundup noted a relatively quiet period for Nintendo news, with the biggest highlights being announcements from Square Enix and merchandise news. Square Enix revealed new versions of Octopath Traveler and Octopath Traveler II coming to Nintendo Switch 2, featuring improved performance and enhanced visuals compared to their original releases. The publisher did not announce an upgrade path for existing owners of the original games. In merchandise news, Nintendo partnered with Hot Topic to unveil a new exclusive line of Pikmin collectibles. The column characterized the week as relatively slow compared to the typically packed gaming news cycles of prior months.
