Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 642
Push Square’s weekly “What Are You Playing This Weekend?” column returns for Issue 642, a recurring feature where the publication’s gaming staff share their weekend entertainment picks. With summer temperatures expected to ease across the UK, the timing is ideal for comfortable gaming sessions.
Contributing editor Jamie O’Neill continues his engagement with the 2011 PlayStation 3 port of Daytona USA, remaining dedicated to the classic arcade racing experience from the previous week’s column. O’Neill highlights SEGA AM2’s masterful arcade driving game design, explaining why Daytona USA achieved and maintains its status as a celebrated racing classic. The PS3 port preserves the core design principles that made the original arcade version legendary, demonstrating the enduring quality of the title over more than a decade after console release.
The column serves as a regular touchstone for gaming enthusiasts seeking curated recommendations and insider perspectives. By featuring multiple staff members’ personal gaming selections, the feature offers readers diverse suggestions reflecting different gaming preferences and playing styles within the publication.
