Dragonlance: War Wizard Is the Next Novel in the Legendary Fantasy Series From Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman — and We’ve Got an Exclusive Excerpt
Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman have announced a new Dragonlance novel titled War Wizard, releasing in August. The book marks a major addition to the legendary fantasy franchise, which originated from Dungeons & Dragons and has been expanding since the original Dragons of Autumn Twilight debuted in 1984.
War Wizard is positioned as a prequel to the original Dragonlance Chronicles, exploring events that precede the main series narrative. This structure allows the authors to expand the world’s lore while offering entry points for both longtime fans and new readers.
Dragonlance has maintained significant cultural impact across multiple decades, establishing a rich fantasy universe with complex characters and interconnected storylines. IGN has published an exclusive excerpt from the forthcoming novel, providing early access to the latest chapter in the ongoing series development.
