Arcane Ekko’s Voice Actor Teases Riot Has “So Many Different Plans”
Reed Anderson, the voice actor for Ekko in the League of Legends Netflix series Arcane, has teased that Riot Games is working on numerous future projects for the franchise. In an interview with The Direct, Anderson revealed that Riot has “so many different plans” for the Arcane universe, fueling speculation about upcoming spin-off series.
This announcement builds on previous statements from Arcane co-creator Christian Linke, who revealed in 2024 that Riot was “aggressively developing” several spin-off concepts. Anderson provided additional insight by confirming he recently recorded new Ekko voice lines and was informed that his role in the franchise will likely extend throughout his lifetime, suggesting long-term plans for the character.
Riot Games has been actively expanding the League of Legends universe beyond the acclaimed Netflix series. The company has launched new ventures including Riftbound, a physical trading card game, and 2XKO, a competitive fighting game set in the League universe. Additionally, Riot continues to expand its esports infrastructure with ongoing tournament development.
While specific details about the planned spin-off series remain undisclosed, Anderson’s comments indicate that fans can expect significant expansion of the Arcane universe in the coming years.
