Dbrand has announced a new line of decorative wraps for Valve’s Steam Machine, the company’s compact gaming PC. The release includes nine new skin designs alongside matching Steam Controller options, providing customization options for users seeking to personalize their hardware. The available designs span playful themes such as a basketball and dice patterns, alongside more stylized options including a brick wall aesthetic, vintage computer look, Earth globe, and weathered shipping package design. In addition to these new creations, Dbrand is offering several established design collections that have proven popular across its other product lines, including signature inky color gradient blends and circuitry-inspired patterns.
This announcement arrives just weeks after Dbrand was forced to cancel its previously teased Companion Cube wrap project for the Steam Machine. The earlier project generated significant interest among fans but was scrapped because Dbrand had not secured permission from Valve to produce the design. The licensing disagreement highlighted the importance of proper authorization agreements in the gaming accessory market. These new wraps represent a resolution path, allowing Steam Machine owners to customize their devices while working within Valve’s licensing framework.
