Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake might be re-revealed this year, a new report suggests

The Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake is expected to be re-revealed sometime in 2026, according to new reporting from reliable Star Wars insider 100% Star Wars. The project, which was originally announced in late 2021 before transitioning to developer Saber Interactive, has experienced multiple delays throughout its extended development.

According to sources within Saber Interactive, the best-case scenario for the KOTOR remake was a mid-to-late 2027 release window, which would have aligned the game’s launch with Star Wars’ 50th anniversary milestone. However, the remake has now slipped into 2028, with the new timeline instead aligning with the original Knights of the Old Republic’s 25th anniversary.

The planned re-reveal this year was announced following recent reports that confirmed the 2028 release window for the highly anticipated remake.
