Raid: Shadow Legends, casual arm PlaySimple and web store revenue drive rising MTG profits

Mobile gaming conglomerate MTG reported its seventh consecutive quarter of revenue growth in Q2 2026, with group revenues reaching $306 million. The company’s flagship title Raid: Shadow Legends continued its strong performance, generating $111 million in Q2 revenue, representing a 9% year-over-year increase despite a quieter content period following Q1’s exceptional results.

The company’s casual games division PlaySimple drove significant momentum, with revenue up 29% year-over-year. Meanwhile, direct-to-consumer web store revenue contributed to overall growth, diversifying the company’s monetization channels beyond its main titles.

The broader MTG portfolio showed mixed results in Q2. Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus grew modestly to $17 million, up 5% year-over-year, while Forge of Empires continued its decline to $19 million, down 22% year-over-year. These variations reflected differing lifecycle stages and engagement levels across MTG’s game portfolio.

Financially, MTG posted adjusted EBITDA of $73 million with a 24% adjusted EBITDA margin for Q2. The company maintained its full-year guidance unchanged, signaling confidence in sustaining growth momentum through the remainder of 2026.
