PlayStation Plus is Removing 9 Games in August
PlayStation Plus will remove nine games from its Extra and Premium tiers on August 18, 2026. Among the departing titles are Dead Island 2 and Unicorn Overlord, a critically acclaimed tactical role-playing game developed by Vanillaware and published by Atlus.
Unicorn Overlord, released in 2024, has garnered widespread praise for its complex gameplay systems and inventive combat design, appealing to fans of Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy: Tactics. While the game’s narrative may not be its strongest element, the core gameplay delivers an engaging experience.
Notably, five of the nine games were originally scheduled to depart in July but were delayed until August. This marks another routine rotation in PlayStation Plus’s monthly cycle, in which new titles are added to the Game Catalog and Classics Catalog while older entries are retired. Subscribers interested in these titles should plan to complete them before the August 18 deadline.
