Black Lake Horror Game Announced for PC
Polydin Studio has announced Black Lake, a first-person psychological horror and survival game set to launch on PC in Winter 2027, with console versions following in mid-2027. The game distinguishes itself by placing its horror narrative within an abandoned orphanage that is adrift at sea, combining the immersive perspective of first-person horror with a unique setting that intensifies isolation and atmospheric dread.
In Black Lake, players assume the role of Elena, who returns to the orphanage where she grew up after receiving a mysterious message from her missing twin sister, Rita. Upon arrival, Elena discovers the orphanage is unexpectedly inhabited despite its abandonment, setting the stage for the game’s narrative. Players will search for Rita while uncovering the mysteries and horrors contained within the drifting facility.
The announcement includes a debut trailer and screenshots showcasing the game’s atmosphere and environment design. As a first-person horror title, Black Lake aims to position itself within a genre known for placing scares and psychological tension directly in the player’s perspective, with the sea-bound orphanage serving as an additional environmental layer that reinforces themes of isolation and unease.
