Gears of War: E-Day Multiplayer Reveal Arrives Next Week
Coalition has announced a multiplayer gameplay reveal for Gears of War: E-Day on July 30, 2026, at 6:00 am PT / 9:00 am ET via Xbox’s official YouTube channel. The reveal will showcase the game’s cooperative multiplayer features ahead of its October 6, 2026 release date.
The multiplayer suite includes a 12-player PvE horde mode that expands on the mechanics introduced in Gears of War 2’s horde mode but operates at a much larger scale. Players will work together to defend against waves of invading Locust enemies across various environments. Additionally, the game will support four-player co-op gameplay, a feature The Coalition has emphasized required a significant development investment.
The upcoming title represents a continued focus on cooperative gameplay for the franchise. With the reveal announcement made on the official X account, fans will have their first opportunity to see multiplayer gameplay in action one week before the unveiling.
