Indie game gets last minute Steam delay while Valve reviews its ‘dozens of untextured polygons depicting ass and boobs’

Molleindustria, the indie developer known for political satire games, experienced a last-minute delay for Future? No Thanks! due to an extended Steam review process. The game was scheduled to launch on July 22, 2026, but Valve’s review flagged the presence of nudity in the game, specifically described as “dozens of untextured polygons depicting ass and boobs.”

The developer, Paolo Pedercini, had previously announced an intentionally provocative launch timing—originally planning to release on the same day as GTA 6 as a satirical statement intended to “humiliate Rockstar in the open-world genre.” The release date was later moved up to July 22, but Steam’s content review process extended longer than expected, forcing another postponement.

This delay highlights ongoing tensions between independent developers and platform content moderation policies. While Valve’s Steam platform has historically allowed mature content, the review process can still introduce unexpected delays, particularly for games with explicit artistic elements. Molleindustria’s satirical approach—combining political commentary with provocative imagery—appears to have triggered additional scrutiny during the review process.
