Total War: Warhammer 40,000 Named Character List Swells With Another Ork Warboss — and a Hint at How They Will Work in the Game
Games Workshop has announced that Ork Warboss Nazdreg Ug Urdgrub will be receiving both a new tabletop miniature for Warhammer 40,000 and will be featured as a playable character in Creative Assembly’s upcoming strategy game Total War: Warhammer 40,000.
Nazdreg holds a prominent position in the Ork faction hierarchy as the leader of the Bad Moon clan, ranking second only to the legendary Ghazghkull Thraka, the Ork prophet of the Waaagh!. Games Workshop revealed detailed visuals of the miniature’s design through their Warhammer Community platform, showcasing Nazdreg equipped with his distinctive Kustom Blasta X weapon and the Bad Moon banner. The announcement also included a screenshot displaying how the character will appear in the Total War game adaptation.
This addition represents another significant step in populating Creative Assembly’s Warhammer 40K strategy game with named characters from Games Workshop’s extensive lore. The dual release—featuring both a new tabletop miniature and video game appearance—demonstrates the cross-media approach Games Workshop is taking to expand the Warhammer 40K universe across both physical tabletop and digital gaming platforms.
