Acer and Gigabyte will launch RTX Spark laptops too, but not before Microsoft and Co.
Nvidia’s RTX Spark, an Arm-based processor for laptops that combines CPU and GPU functionality, is set to launch this fall across multiple manufacturer lines. First unveiled at Computex in June, RTX Spark represents Nvidia’s initial consumer-focused entry into the laptop processor market, designed to handle both artificial intelligence workloads and gaming applications.
According to Nvidia’s announcement, the first wave of RTX Spark laptops will arrive this fall from a selection of major manufacturers including Asus, Dell Technologies, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft Surface, and MSI. This lineup includes some of the largest names in the laptop industry, which comes as little surprise given these companies were initially announced as partners when RTX Spark was first revealed.
Manufacturers Acer and Gigabyte will bring their own RTX Spark-based models to market, though their launches will come after the initial wave. The staggered rollout strategy allows Nvidia to manage supply and market entry, while giving early partners a window to establish RTX Spark as the go-to platform for AI-accelerated computing and gaming on laptops. The processor marks a significant milestone for Nvidia in the competitive consumer laptop market, positioning the company directly against established CPU manufacturers in the portable computing space.
