The Pokémon Center is exploding after surprise Ascended Heroes drop
The Pokémon Center released a surprise drop of trading card game products, causing significant website congestion and high queue wait times. The unannounced release features a mix of popular TCG sets: Scarlet & Violet-151 Mini Tin with Gengar and Omanyte ($9.99 for 2 packs), Mega Evolution Ascended Heroes Collection featuring Larry and Erika ($9.99 for 2 packs), and a Poké Ball Tin with 3 packs for $14.99. Each product is limited to one purchase per household. Products are expected to sell out quickly given the high demand. Notably, this drop focuses on a variety of highly-regarded sets rather than the anticipated 30th anniversary TCG collection. The Pokémon Center’s website is experiencing typical congestion during the release, with the queue timer displaying a Psyduck placeholder animation as customers wait for purchase access.
