Two ‘Day One’ Games Are Available Today Across Xbox And PC Game Pass (July 22)
Two new games have launched on Xbox Game Pass on July 22nd, continuing the service’s strategy of offering day-one releases to subscribers. Shift at Midnight, an online cooperative detective horror game, is now available across Xbox consoles and PC. The game combines workplace management with supernatural investigation, tasking players with running a gas station while interrogating customers—some of whom are not entirely human. The game has generated significant player enthusiasm, with its multiplayer demo on Steam receiving “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews from the community.
Tears of Metal, a Dynasty Warriors-inspired action game with Scottish cultural themes, has also joined the service. Unlike Shift at Midnight, Tears of Metal is currently exclusive to PC players on Game Pass, though it may become available on Xbox consoles at a later date.
Both releases represent Xbox’s ongoing commitment to providing day-one access to new titles across its Game Pass subscription tiers, giving players immediate access to recent releases without additional purchase. The service continues to offer diverse game selections across various genres, from multiplayer cooperative experiences to action-adventure titles.
