Pokémon TCG Pocket Finally Welcomes Mega Rayquaza Next Week
Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket will receive its next major expansion on July 30th at 1am BST / 2am CET, or July 29th at 6pm PT. The new expansion, titled “Ruler of the Skies,” introduces Mega Rayquaza as a featured card to the mobile trading card game.
The Pokémon Company announced the update as part of their regular monthly showcase, continuing the game’s live-service content schedule. This expansion represents the next major content drop for the popular mobile title, which has maintained an active update schedule since launch.
Mega Rayquaza, known as the Ruler of the Skies in Pokémon lore, will be a significant addition to the game’s expanding card pool. The expansion builds on the established pattern of releasing new Pokémon and card variants on a regular basis to maintain player engagement.
The staggered release times across regions reflect a coordinated global launch approach, ensuring simultaneous availability across time zones. The Ruler of the Skies expansion continues the game’s strategy of bringing popular Pokémon variants to the digital trading card format.
