Splatoon Raiders – Launch Gameplay Trailer
Splatoon Raiders has launched on Nintendo Switch 2 as a single-player-focused departure from the series’ traditional multiplayer formula. Players take on the role of a mechanic working alongside Deep Cut, a trio of swashbuckling musicians, to explore and raid the mysterious Spirhalite Islands for treasure. The game emphasizes adventure and combat as players venture into increasingly challenging environments filled with enemy Salmonids.
The gameplay centers on customization and combat mechanics. Players customize their character, equip mechanical gadgets, and arm themselves with ink-splattering weapons to progress through the islands. The experience includes tank upgrades, boss battles, and various enemy encounters. Multiple outfit options can be unlocked through progression or by scanning amiibo figures, including new Deep Cut amiibo that provide exclusive cosmetics.
At $49.99, Splatoon Raiders marks a significant shift in franchise direction, emphasizing single-player adventure over competitive multiplayer. The game introduces new gear and playstyles that differ from previous entries, requiring even series veterans to adapt their approach. With its focus on exploration, treasure hunting, and escalating challenges, Splatoon Raiders presents a fresh take on the ink-based franchise.
