Crazy Taxi: World Tour has competitive multiplayer, and you’ve got a chance to play it very soon
Sega has announced a closed network test for the upcoming Crazy Taxi: World Tour, offering players a chance to experience the game’s competitive multiplayer features. The limited test will run from September 11-13, 2026.
Sign-ups are open until August 31 at 11:59pm PT (2:59am ET / 7:59am BST on September 1). The test will be available on PC via Steam and the Xbox app, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Participants must be at least 13 years old and will need a Sega account; existing Sega account holders can use their current credentials.
While sign-ups are open to eligible players, Sega will not be able to invite all applicants. Selected participants will receive email instructions on how to access the test. The closed network test focuses on testing the game’s online multiplayer functionality.
Sega also released a new trailer alongside the announcement, showcasing the game’s West Coast map and giving players a preview of one of the locations featured in the competitive taxi racing experience. Crazy Taxi: World Tour marks the franchise’s return to gaming with modernized visuals and gameplay mechanics designed for current-generation hardware.
