Drilo Ventures reveals $30m fund for ‘Türkiye’s second wave of gaming founders’
Drilo Ventures, a new venture capital fund, has launched with $30 million in capital dedicated to backing Turkish gaming founders and studios globally. The firm was founded by Doğukan Çetin, formerly a fund manager at Apy Ventures, and Umut Yaka, founder of Swipeline, Turkey’s largest startup and tech-focused media company.
The fund positions itself as a backer of “Turkey’s second wave of gaming founders,” targeting early-stage gaming startups with individual check sizes ranging from $500,000 to $1.5 million. Drilo Ventures plans to complete its first close in October following regulatory filing approval.
Beyond initial seed investments, the firm will leverage relationships with global venture capital funds to connect portfolio companies with Series A and Series B financing opportunities. The fund has also established agreements with user acquisition and financing firms in Turkey and internationally to provide launch support and financial services to game studios.
