Vejrgang, Emre Yilmaz & RvPLegend Amongst EA FC Esports Nations Cup Invites
The Esports Foundation has announced the player invitations for the EA Sports FC competition at the inaugural Esports Nations Cup 2026. The event will feature 128 professional players competing across a global tournament, with 64 players receiving direct invitations to represent their respective countries and 64 spots filled through regional qualification rounds.
The tournament is scheduled to take place from November 17–22, 2026, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Notable invited competitors include Vejrgang (Denmark), nicolas99fc (Argentina), Emre Yilmaz (The Netherlands), RvPLegend (Romania), and Tekkz (Great Britain), alongside representatives from Brazil, Italy, Germany, France, Portugal, Australia, Egypt, and the United States, among other nations.
The tournament structure balances competitive recognition with global participation, using direct invitations to acknowledge established elite talent while maintaining qualification pathways for strong competitors outside the immediate invitational circle. This approach ensures representation from both established esports regions and emerging markets, establishing a precedent for international esports competition under the new Esports Nations Cup framework.
