FFXIV Dawntrail Phantom relic weapon steps
Square Enix added the Phantom relic weapon to Final Fantasy XIV with patch 7.25 as part of the Dawntrail expansion content. This latest relic weapon variant continues the series’ tradition of requiring substantial time investment to obtain, with players needing to grind through the Occult Crescent field operation or engage in other Dawntrail-related content and duty roulettes.
A July 29 update revealed that patch 7.55 expanded the Phantom relic line with two new weapon variants: the Phantom Eclipticum and Phantom Occultum. Like other relic weapons in FFXIV, these Phantom weapons represent prestigious gear options for endgame players seeking customizable, high-level equipment alongside other progression paths available in the game’s live-service model.
The article provides a comprehensive guide for players pursuing these weapons, detailing the grind requirements and progression steps needed to complete each variant. Relic weapons have long been a staple of FFXIV’s endgame content, offering both a sense of accomplishment and distinctive visual customization options for dedicated players.
