Looney Tunes follows The Simpsons as the next big IP to take over Monopoly Go
Scopely has announced the next seasonal IP takeover for Monopoly Go, following The Simpsons crossover. Beginning July 29 and running through September 23, the Happy Harvest Season introduces Looney Tunes characters including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Road Runner. The collaboration was developed in partnership with Warner Bros and involves the original voice actors for several characters.
The seasonal event introduces new Acme-themed content, including live events and competitive competitions. Players will access two new features: Infinite Harvest, which allows growing crops on the game board, and Porky’s Cafe, which enables using duplicate stickers. New Looney Tunes-themed trailers will debut both in-game and online.
This partnership continues Monopoly Go’s strategy of rotating major IP into the mobile title to maintain player engagement. The game has consistently ranked among the top-grossing mobile games by in-app purchase revenue, making these collaborations a key retention and monetisation strategy. The Looney Tunes crossover represents another major media franchise joining the game’s roster of branded seasonal events.
