Marvel Rivals is receiving a new PvE cooperative mode themed after the 2015 film Avengers: Age of Ultron, launching July 30 as part of the game’s “Path to Doomsday” event. This event series is designed to build momentum leading into the December 2024 release of the MCU film Avengers: Doomsday.
The Age of Ultron mode will feature four iconic MCU heroes—Captain America, Black Widow, Iron Man, and Hulk—fighting against waves of Ultron robots across a newly designed Avengers Tower map. While NetEase Games has not yet revealed specific details about the mode’s structure, objectives, or reward systems, the developer has teased that additional story content will accompany the event.
This marks the second phase of the Path to Doomsday initiative, reflecting NetEase Games’ ongoing strategy of incorporating MCU-inspired content into its free-to-play hero shooter. More detailed information about the mode is expected to be shared closer to or following its July 30 launch.
