Michael B. Jordan’s Thomas Crown Affair remake is dripping with style in first trailer

Amazon MGM Studios has released the first trailer for Michael B. Jordan’s long-anticipated remake of the heist thriller The Thomas Crown Affair, following over a decade of development since the project’s initial announcement. The film stars Jordan as Thomas Crown, a wealthy billionaire who pursues art theft primarily for the thrill rather than financial gain. The narrative follows Crown as he steals a painting while posing as part of an unrelated botched heist, triggering a cat-and-mouse dynamic with insurance investigator Adria Arjona (Andor, Morbius). As their investigation intensifies, the characters develop romantic feelings for each other.

Jordan serves as director and producer on the film, marking his second directorial effort after his 2023 feature debut. The trailer showcases a stylish visual presentation befitting the sophisticated heist premise. The theatrical release is scheduled for March 5, 2027.
