A24’s Elden Ring movie wraps filming, report says

A24 has confirmed that production on its live-action adaptation of Elden Ring directed by acclaimed filmmaker Alex Garland has nearly wrapped. The milestone was announced by prop maker Sean Schofield through Instagram, where he shared a photo of a production wrap gift alongside a thank-you note signed by Garland and key producers including Allon Reich, Matthew Penry-Davey, Peter Rice, Andrew Macdonald, and Charlie Reed. Schofield, who has previously contributed to high-profile television productions such as The Witcher and The Rings of Power, spent nearly four months working on the film. Despite the conclusion of principal photography, audiences will face a substantial wait for the final film—Elden Ring is not scheduled for theatrical release until 2028. The adaptation represents a significant studio commitment to bringing FromSoftware’s acclaimed 2022 action RPG to the big screen, with Garland directing what will be one of the most ambitious video game adaptations in recent cinema.
