Control Resonant Game Length Revealed
Remedy Entertainment has announced the expected playtime for Control Resonant, the upcoming sequel to 2019’s Control. Lead gameplay designer Sergey Mohov revealed in an interview with TechRadar that players can expect to spend approximately 30 hours completing the core campaign experience. For completionists aiming to see everything the game has to offer, Mohov estimates playtime will extend to around 50 hours.
This represents a significant increase in content compared to the original Control, which takes roughly 12 hours to complete on average according to HowLongToBeat.com, making Resonant over double the length of its predecessor. The sequel, scheduled for release next month, will feature a new setting, protagonist, and revamped combat system alongside the extended campaign.
The news comes at a notable time, as September is shaping up to be one of the busiest release months for gaming, with other major titles like Marvel’s Wolverine and The Blood of Dawnwalker also launching. The extended playtime of Control Resonant may make it a significant time investment for players navigating a crowded release schedule.
