‘Croc 2’ Is Getting The Remaster Treatment Later This Year
Argonaut Games has announced a remaster of Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos, bringing back the sequel to last year’s successful Croc: Legend of the Gobbos remaster. The new version will release digitally on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 during Q4 2026.
The announcement represents a logical next step following the strong performance of the original remaster. Argonaut Games had previously indicated that success of the first title would likely lead to the sequel receiving similar treatment. The Croc 2 remaster fulfills that commitment.
Notably, the remaster will restore the subtitle “Kingdom of the Gobbos”—the game’s original developmental name—which was not used in the original 1999 release. This reinstatement represents a return to the sequel’s early creative vision. The remaster continues Argonaut Games’ initiative to preserve and modernize classic platformer titles for contemporary gaming platforms.
