Machine Party, out now, is masochistic Mario Party from the dev that brought you Buckshot Roulette
Machine Party, a new party game from Mike Klubnika—the developer behind Buckshot Roulette—has launched. Co-developed with GDeavid, the game is described as a “masochistic Mario Party” where failure has lethal consequences for players.
The game borrows the competitive minigame format of Mario Party but leans into darker themes and higher stakes. While Mario Party is known for its visually cheerful presentation despite often inducing frustration and anger among players, Machine Party embraces the tension and violence that competitive party games can provoke, while maintaining the core appeal of jovial competition between friends.
Machine Party supports between two and four players, putting them through brutal and chaotic minigame challenges. The game’s core premise centers on the concept that failure carries serious consequences, raising the stakes beyond typical party game dynamics. This approach represents a shift from the traditional party game formula, where laughs come from unexpected outcomes rather than punishing failures.
The title marks another project from Klubnika following the success of Buckshot Roulette, demonstrating the developer’s continued interest in games that combine dark humor with mechanical challenge.
