Zoominoes Launches on Steam With New Content and Bug Fixes

Zoominoes, a unique roguelike deckbuilder, has officially launched on Steam with an introductory discount. The game’s core mechanic involves players assembling zoos using various tiles that can be combined in multiple ways to manipulate the board and accumulate points, offering a fresh take on the deckbuilder genre.

The game was previously showcased during the Insider Gaming Showcase in May, generating interest ahead of its release. The launch coincides with a comprehensive patch that addresses feedback from the demo playthrough period. The update significantly expands the game’s content, increasing the number of zookeeper options from the original three featured in the demo to twenty different characters.

Each zookeeper character now includes unique voice lines and dialogue tailored to key moments in gameplay—including character selection, victory, defeat, and the start of each game. The developers have also added collection-based fun facts and other quality-of-life improvements. These additions reflect the developers’ commitment to refining the gameplay experience based on player feedback during the showcase period, with the patch representing major updates informed by those early playthroughs.

The launch represents the game’s official entry into the competitive roguelike deckbuilder market on Steam, a platform popular with the genre’s fanbase.
