A free new Batman game just dropped on Amazon
Amazon is offering a free Batman game titled Batman: Caped Crusader Chronicles through its cloud gaming service Luna, coinciding with the release of season two of its animated Batman series. The game allows players to team up as the Dark Knight to solve crimes across Gotham City, featuring 11 episodic cases that showcase classic villains including The Joker and Scarecrow.
The game emphasizes detective work with unique detective-themed minigames that can be enjoyed solo or with up to three friends cooperatively. To play, at least one player must have an Amazon Prime membership and access to a smartphone capable of running Amazon Luna, Amazon’s cloud streaming service. This makes the game accessible without requiring a dedicated gaming console, gaming PC, or controller hardware.
The title is part of Amazon Luna’s GameNight offering, which is the company’s initiative to provide games through its cloud platform. By tying the game release to the animated series, Amazon is leveraging its content properties to drive engagement with its gaming service and expand Luna’s game library.
