Deltarune Chapter 5 gets final patch as devs turn full focus on Chapter 6
Toby Fox has released patch v0.0.253 for Deltarune, marking the final update for Chapter 5. The patch notes were published on July 30, with the developer now shifting full attention to the development of Chapter 6.
The latest patch primarily addresses various bugs from earlier chapters of the game. However, it includes one significant addition to Chapter 5: the introduction of the Shadow Crystal boss encounter known as “Pink.” This marks the final Shadow Crystal boss encounter in Deltarune, as each chapter has featured one of these optional challenge fights designed to test players’ combat skills. The update adds two new difficulty options for players facing this encounter, allowing for greater accessibility across skill levels.
With v0.0.253 serving as the conclusion of Chapter 5 updates, developer Toby Fox is now directing resources toward developing Chapter 6, which represents the anticipated conclusion of the game’s story. This marks a significant milestone for the long-in-development title, as players await the release of the final chapter.
