World Of Warcraft Is Coming To D&D, And Will Let You Grind Renown Just Like The MMO
Wizards of the Coast has announced D&D: World of Warcraft, a new tabletop RPG sourcebook that brings Blizzard’s Azeroth setting to Dungeons & Dragons. Launching November 17th, 2026, this crossover combines the rich roleplay mechanics of D&D with World of Warcraft’s expansive lore, races, and classes, enabling players to create custom adventures within Azeroth.
The sourcebook offers extensive character customization options for dungeon masters and players alike. It includes all 13 World of Warcraft classes along with six new subclasses and three modified ones, providing over 40 class specializations to choose from. The expansion features 11 WoW races—including tauren, draenei, forsaken, and trolls—alongside modified versions of existing D&D races like humans, dwarves, goblins, orcs, and elves.
This announcement marks the beginning of Wizards of the Coast’s largest multiverse initiative to date. The publisher has simultaneously announced a D&D/Star Wars collaboration set during the Rebellion era, though further details remain limited. The crossover strategy follows the successful model pioneered by Magic: The Gathering, which has proven profitable through franchise partnerships. The announcement was officially revealed during a D&D Vision Keynote livestream on July 30th, 2026.
