LEGO Astro Bot Rumored to Release Alongside PlayStation 1 Set
LEGO and PlayStation are reportedly partnering on an official LEGO PlayStation 1 console set, with new rumors suggesting an October 2026 release. According to sources from the reliable LEGO leaker BrickTap on Reddit’s r/Legoleak community, the set (code 72306) will arrive on October 1st and include a limited-time LEGO Astro Bot set (code 40899) as a gift with purchase.
While the partnership has yet to be officially confirmed by either company, the rumors build on earlier reports from March 2026 indicating that LEGO and PlayStation were collaborating on a building set. The original PlayStation 1 announcement has not yet been publicly revealed by either party.
The inclusion of Astro Bot—PlayStation’s latest mascot and star of the PS5 exclusive platformer—suggests LEGO and PlayStation are leveraging the popular character to drive interest in the commemorative set. The gift-with-purchase promotional strategy offers collectors and fans a chance to build both an iconic gaming console from the 1990s and a contemporary PlayStation mascot.
As these details remain unconfirmed, the October release date and product details should be treated as rumors pending official announcements from LEGO and PlayStation.
