Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls releases final trailer featuring a quip-happy Deadpool
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls launches August 6 as a new 4v4 tag-based fighting game featuring Marvel characters. Developed by Arc System Works, the title will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC.
The game’s story mode, written by acclaimed comic author Kieron Gillen (Once & Future, Die, Young Avengers), centers on a tournament arranged by the Champion of the Universe to determine Earth’s fate. The roster includes 20 playable characters spanning heroes and villains across the Marvel universe.
A launch trailer released ahead of the debut showcases energetic gameplay and highlights Deadpool’s central role. The character delivers numerous fourth-wall-breaking jokes throughout the footage, commenting on the four-versus-four format and its screen-filling action. A memorable moment features Deadpool striking a power-up stance reminiscent of Dragon Ball’s iconic character introductions. The game represents Arc System Works’ entry into the Marvel fighting game space, leveraging the studio’s established expertise in tag-based fighting mechanics.
