American Truck Simulator trundles off to a land of enchanted highways and giant bovines with a freshly announced North Dakota expansion
American Truck Simulator is heading to North Dakota as developer SCS Software announces a new expansion for the popular trucking simulation game. This follows the recent Illinois expansion released in May, continuing the studio’s gradual eastward expansion of the game’s map across the United States.
The North Dakota expansion will feature major cities as delivery destinations, including Fargo, Bismarck, Grand Forks, Minot, and Williston. Players will also discover smaller settlements throughout the state, such as Medora, which serves as the gateway to Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
The DLC will showcase authentic North Dakota landmarks and attractions. Featured prominently is the World’s Largest Buffalo sculpture in Jamestown, a towering monument that has become an iconic roadside attraction. The expansion aims to capture the distinctive character and geography of North Dakota, providing players with authentic driving routes and regional points of interest.
The announcement represents SCS Software’s ongoing commitment to regularly expanding American Truck Simulator’s playable map. The developer has established a consistent pattern of releasing regional expansions that allow players to experience different areas of North America, each with unique characteristics, landmarks, and cargo routes.
