Magic just revealed 25 wild cards in Mystery Booster Commander
Wizards of the Coast has begun revealing the contents of Mystery Booster: Commander Edition, an upcoming Magic: The Gathering set positioned as one of the publisher’s most experimental Commander products. Initially announced at MagicCon: Amsterdam earlier in the summer, the set will feature over 50 exclusive legendary creatures alongside hundreds of reprints.
Wizards kept the original “wild cards” largely secret to build anticipation among Commander players. That secrecy ended following an invite-only event at Gen Con, where Magic principal designer Gavin Verhey provided attendees with an early look at many of the set’s new Commanders. Images from the event quickly spread online, giving the community their first substantial glimpse of the set’s contents.
