Ubisoft Fixes Black Flag Resynced 30fps Cutscene PC Bug, PSSR Issue on PS5 Pro

Ubisoft has released patch 1.0.6 for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, addressing long-requested features and technical issues. The most significant addition is the ability to hide Edward’s blowpipe—a feature players have been requesting since launch. The blowpipe can now be toggled off via the inventory screen, allowing players to customize their outfits without the weapon appearing on Edward’s back.

Beyond cosmetic changes, the patch includes several gameplay and technical improvements. The update adds the ability to toggle the hood during Leap of Faith segments and reduces the Kraken wheel cost, which players found prohibitively expensive. Additionally, a tutorial for the cash-throwing mechanic has been implemented to better guide players through the game’s mechanics.

For PC players, patch 1.0.6 fixes a notable bug where enabling custom graphics settings forced cutscenes to run at 30fps, while using preset configurations (high, medium, etc.) allowed higher frame rates. This inconsistency has been resolved, benefiting those using optimized custom settings.

Download sizes vary significantly across platforms: 1.8GB on Steam, 4GB via Ubisoft Connect for PC, 5GB on PS5, and 15GB on Xbox Series consoles. The update deployed on August 4th across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Since its launch roughly a month ago, Black Flag Resynced has achieved commercial success, surpassing 3 million copies sold in its first week. The continued stream of updates demonstrates Ubisoft’s ongoing support for the remake, with multiple patches already released addressing player feedback and technical issues.
