Hooded Horse’s watery 4X sequel Endless Legend 2 gets a 1.0 launch date and a new faction of terraforming desert dwellers
Endless Legend 2, the oceanic 4X strategy sequel developed by Amplitude Studios and published by Hooded Horse, will officially launch version 1.0 on September 17th, ending the game’s early access phase. The title features asymmetric faction-based warfare set across a water-rich world, with each faction offering distinct gameplay approaches and strategic options.
The 1.0 release brings significant new content, including a sixth major faction to expand the game’s existing roster of unique and unconventional societies. Beyond this major addition, the update introduces “Rogue Factions”—splinter groups that have broken away from the primary civilizations. These smaller factions come with their own quests, narratives, and gameplay mechanics, adding further variety and depth to the strategic experience.
An updated demo version accompanies the announcement, providing both new players with an entry point and existing early access players with the opportunity to experience the latest improvements. The developers have prioritized addressing UI issues and implementing other refinements to ensure a polished launch experience.
