Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway 2 gets new trailer, streaming release date
Netflix has announced that Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe will stream on its platform later this month, alongside releasing a new trailer for the film. The movie marks the continuation of the Gundam franchise’s cinematic expansion, following its theatrical releases in Japan in January 2026 and in American cinemas in May 2026.
The film is part of an ongoing trilogy of movies adapting Hathaway’s Flash, a series of light novels originally written by Gundam series creator Yoshiyuki Tomino in 1989-1990. The adaptations are set within the Universal Century (UC) timeline, the primary continuity of the Mobile Suit Gundam universe. Specifically, the Hathaway story takes place in UC 0105, approximately 26 years after the events of the original 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam series.
Studio Sunrise is handling the adaptation of the three-novel trilogy into the film series. The streaming release represents another milestone in making the Gundam franchise accessible to international audiences, building on previous theatrical windows in Japanese and American markets.
