Jessica Henwick has decided not to reprise her role as Colleen Wing in Marvel’s upcoming Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, despite discussions with Marvel about the possibility. The actress, who previously portrayed the character in the Netflix series Iron Fist and Luke Cage, as well as the crossover event The Defenders, explained that she felt her character ended on a strong note and preferred to leave it there.
Colleen Wing’s journey in the Marvel Television universe was significant, as she eventually inherited the Iron Fist mantle from Danny Rand, positioning her as a central character in the interconnected Netflix Marvel shows. Fans had hoped to see her return in Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, particularly given the show’s expected reunion of the main four Defenders for the first time in nearly a decade.
While Marvel approached Henwick about bringing her character back for the new series, the actress ultimately decided to decline the opportunity. She expressed satisfaction with where her character’s story concluded, preferring to maintain that ending rather than continue the role.
