Marvel Rivals’ New Hero Looks Like He Walked Straight Out Of Chainsaw Man
Marvel Rivals is adding The Hood, the latest character to join its expanding hero shooter roster, debuting this Friday alongside Season 9.5: The Mystery of Thebes. The Hood is Parker Robins, a street-level mobster wielding both magical and demonic powers who takes the Vanguard role—the game’s tank class.
The character features a versatile ability kit that seamlessly blends his criminal background with supernatural abilities. The Hood can switch between human and demon forms, using dual pistols to suppress enemies while deploying protective shields and lobbing dark magic orbs that debuff opponents. His Ultimate Ability triggers a dramatic transformation into a towering demon form that has drawn visual comparisons to the anime series Chainsaw Man.
The Hood includes team-up abilities with Marvel characters Cloak & Dagger, Jubilee, and Magik, enabling strategic team coordination. The character is voiced by WWE SmackDown star Damian Priest, also known as Luis Berrios.
The addition follows Season 9’s significant overhaul of Team-Up mechanics. The Hood’s inclusion was previously leaked when Marvel Rivals launched in 2024, making this official reveal a confirmation of long-anticipated roster plans. The character’s design and abilities draw gameplay comparisons to Overwatch’s Reaper while offering unique demonic transformation mechanics distinctive to Marvel Rivals.
