Coffee Stain bullish despite underperformance of Deep Rock Galactic spinoff
Swedish publisher Coffee Stain Studios reported strong first-quarter 2026 results, with net sales surging 37 percent to SEK 253 million ($26.6 million). The growth demonstrates the company’s portfolio resilience despite recent disappointments.
The sales increase was primarily driven by continued success of Satisfactory, the popular automation simulator. The console version of the game served as a particularly significant contributor to the quarter’s results, expanding the title’s reach beyond PC audiences.
The company’s Roblox title, Welcome to Bloxburg, also generated meaningful revenue, bringing in $2.1 million during the quarter. This consistent performance from established titles helped offset weaker-than-expected launches, including the Deep Rock Galactic spinoff Rogue Core and Fellowship Season 3.
Despite the underperformance of these recent releases, Coffee Stain management expressed confidence in the company’s ability to generate cash and maintain momentum. The results highlight the importance of the studio’s core portfolio in weathering commercial disappointments, suggesting that established franchises and games continue to anchor the publisher’s business model.
