We May Already Know One Major Diablo 4 BlizzCon Announcement

According to a new leak from Dealabs reporter billbil-kun, Diablo 4 is set to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 in mid-September 2026, more than three years after its original June 2023 release on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. The information comes from game classification ratings boards in Indonesia and Taiwan that have listed the Switch 2 version.

The Switch 2 port will arrive on either September 15 or 18, priced at $69.99 in the U.S. (£62.99 in the UK and €69.99 in Europe). Blizzard plans to release the game both digitally via the eShop and in a physical “code-in-a-box” format, which will contain only a download code rather than a physical cartridge.

The leak has generated speculation that this Switch 2 announcement may be the first of multiple Diablo-related announcements coming at this year’s BlizzCon event. However, neither Blizzard nor Nintendo has officially confirmed the release date, pricing, or format details, meaning all information remains subject to change. Dealabs’ billbil-kun has noted that it’s unclear whether the Lord of Hatred expansion will be included with the base game at launch.

This port represents a significant expansion of Diablo 4’s platform availability and continues Blizzard’s strategy of bringing its major titles to Nintendo’s hardware.
