Phasmophobia developer’s indie label Kinetic Publishing to reveal debut slate at showcase later this month
Kinetic Publishing, the indie publishing label founded by Phasmophobia developer Kinetic Games, will debut its first slate of published titles at a showcase scheduled for August 12. The label was launched in January by Daniel Knight, the creator of Phasmophobia, and has already received submissions from hundreds of development teams in its first seven months of operation.
The Kinetic Publishing Showcase will be hosted and narrated by Ben Starr, an actor known for his roles in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Final Fantasy 16, and will be produced by DoubleJump. The event will officially announce the first wave of games signed to the label, revealing their release windows and platform details. These debut titles are planned for launches throughout 2027 and 2028, positioning Kinetic Publishing as a new venture in the indie game publishing space.
The showcase represents an important milestone for the fledgling publisher, transitioning from its initial submission period to publicly revealing the projects it has chosen to support. With hundreds of submissions to choose from, Kinetic Publishing appears to have generated significant interest within the developer community since its founding earlier this year.
