Marvel Rivals Season 9.5 Roadmap Revealed
Marvel Rivals Season 9.5 launches August 7 as a five-week mid-season split, introducing The Hood as a new Vanguard tank character. Parker Robbins wields dark energy through his Oblivion Cloak to enter a demonic state, with his Ultimate ability summoning the Gun Devil. The season follows Season 9’s substantial overhaul of the Team-Up mechanic and additions of Jubilee and Black Widow rework.
NetEase has prioritized balancing the Vanguard role in Season 9.5, implementing adjustments across multiple characters. Devil Dinosaur receives buffs to Frenzied Feast and his Team-Up ability with Jeff, featuring extended duration and increased ally healing. Doctor Strange’s Daggers of Denak now deal more single-hit damage with adjustments to Gamma Maelstrom. Magneto and Rogue also receive kit modifications as part of the broader Vanguard balance pass.
These changes reflect NetEase’s focus on maintaining competitive viability within the reworked Team-Up system and addressing meta-game concerns through regular balance updates.
