Microsoft Outlook is receiving multiple productivity enhancements through the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, designed to make it easier for users to stay on top of emails and calendar events. A significant new feature is drag-and-drop support for rescheduling calendar events, which will fundamentally change how users interact with their schedules within the application.
Among the improvements rolling out is enhanced message filtering that allows users to filter emails specifically for calendar invitations. This feature is scheduled to begin rollout in August 2026, initially launching on Android and iOS mobile platforms.
Additional upgrades include a Copilot Chat pop-out window for Outlook on Mac and iPad. This improvement keeps Copilot Chat functionality accessible within the Outlook app window while providing easier access to chat features alongside email and calendar management.
